Night City's netrunners went to the same school you did. Enemy netrunners are more common on the street, hack you relentlessly, and elite runners chain-upload hack after hack - just like your own quickhack queue, pointed back at you.
Features
More street netrunners
A configurable share of regular ranged gang, corpo and NCPD enemies become full netrunners - real netrunner combat AI, not just a scanner tag. Fully compatible with Random Netrunners: NPCs it already converted are skipped, the two mods stack.
They actually hack you
Vanilla netrunners wait 12 seconds between hacks and each hack has a 40-120s cooldown - that's why you barely notice them. BlackICE drops the global cooldown to 4s (configurable to 0) and scales per-hack cooldowns to 35% (configurable 10-100%).
Faster uploads
Enemy upload times scale to 60% of vanilla by default (Overheat 8s -> 4.8s, System Collapse 20s -> 12s). Slider goes down to 30% if you hate yourself.
Chained uploads
Vanilla forbids any netrunner from starting an upload while you're already being hacked. BlackICE removes that rule: the next upload starts the moment one lands. An EXPERIMENTAL toggle goes further and allows fully simultaneous uploads from multiple runners.
Elite netrunners
MaxTac, NCPD, bounty-hunter, NetWatch and Arasaka netrunners (Voodoo Boys / Militech / Kang Tao optional) carry the MaxTac hack kit - including System Collapse - on a dedicated high-aggression AI selector that ignores the "player is already being hacked" check entirely.
Configuration
Everything above is adjustable in-game: Settings -> Mods -> BlackICE. Settings changes apply on the next save load.

Netrunners still stop moving during the upload itself - this is rooted in native engine code around the upload channel, not in game data. Every data-side override was tested and verified applied; the engine pins them regardless.[/*]

"Parallel uploads" is experimental; the HUD shows a single upload bar.[/*]
