[b]Arlo[/b] is a small personal overhaul for Dogmeat that changes both his [b]name and appearance[/b] while keeping him fully functional as the vanilla Fallout 4 canine companion.
The included plugin permanently renames [b]Dogmeat to Arlo[/b], so his new name appears in dialogue, the companion interface, commands, and other places where the game normally displays Dogmeat's name.
Arlo also includes a [b]custom Dogmeat model[/b] that changes his physical appearance. The model combines a [b]larger, more mastiff-like build and facial structure with floppy ears[/b], giving him a more distinctive look while retaining Dogmeat's original animations, skeleton, behaviors, and companion functionality.

Arlo is designed to work alongside [b]CSE[/b]. The mod focuses specifically on Dogmeat's [b]name and model[/b], rather than replacing CSE's companion systems or functionality.
Other mods that directly replace
[code]Meshes\Actors\Dogmeat\CharacterAssets\Dogmeat.nif[/code]may conflict with Arlo's appearance. Whichever mod wins that file conflict will determine which Dogmeat model is shown in game.
Mods that edit Dogmeat's base record may also conflict with the [b]Arlo[/b] rename and should be checked in FO4Edit if necessary.
Installation
Install normally with [b]Mod Organizer 2[/b] or another Fallout 4 mod manager. Make sure Arlo's custom Dogmeat mesh wins any file conflicts if you want to use the included appearance.
