Two custom +3 longswords for Baldur's Gate 3: Oathkeeper channels radiant light while Shadowsoul wields necrotic might, each with unique passives, spells, VFX and balancing debuffs.
Requirements: No required dependencies; optionally use a tutorial chest summoning mod if not starting a fresh save.
Created for the 2026 BG3 Modathon under the Celestial and Shadows theme, this mod adds two handcrafted longswords to Baldur's Gate 3: Oathkeeper and Shadowsoul. Oathkeeper deals 6–22 one-handed slashing plus radiant damage, grants a +3 weapon enchantment, and provides a passive Celestial Aura (Lathander's Light). It unlocks Branding Smite and Shield of Faith, applies vulnerability to necrotic damage as a balance, and features a radiant glow plus a SourceLight effect that can dispel early levels of the Shadow Curse. Shadowsoul deals 6–24 one-handed slashing plus necrotic damage, also carries a +3 enchantment, and bestows the Living Shadow passive. It unlocks Speak with Dead and Bone Chill, applies a Test of Will (-2 Wisdom) while equipped, and displays swirling souls VFX. Where to find: both items can be placed in the Tutorial Chest (use a tutorial-chest summoning mod if not starting a fresh save) or discovered naturally in Act 2 ShadowCursed Lands — Oathkeeper on a round blue table in Isobel's room; Shadowsoul in the first grave on the right when coming from the Grand Mausoleum waypoint. Installation: extract the .pak into C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods. The Shadowsoul model was created with Bladesong and then imported into Blender.
