DX12 Ray‑Tracing Memory Stabilizer is a small experimental configuration mod for The Witcher 3 Next‑Gen DX12 designed to reduce memory pressure during ray‑traced gameplay. It installs a single loose-file INI override at bin\config\platform\pc\w3_dx12_rt_memory_stabilizer.ini and adjusts DX12/RT cleanup and streaming behavior to target gradual memory accumulation over long sessions. The tuned areas include RT resource cleanup cadence, memory unloading timing, acceleration‑structure compaction and defragmentation, transient texture streaming pressure, and RTXGI clear‑block cadence. The intent is to improve stability for extended play when ray tracing is active without altering visual fidelity. This is not a visual preset and it does not intentionally change ray‑tracing quality, RTXGI probe counts or spacing, texture quality, mip bias, resolution, denoiser quality, lighting style, gameplay, scripts, or save data. The mod was developed with assistance from agentic AI tools, which helped inspect configuration behavior, explore DX12/RT memory‑management parameters, organize the changes, and prepare release materials.
