This mod creates a new blood system for the player.
The player will start with 1000 blood, and this blood can only be refilled by sleeping (full restore from 0 - 1000 in 8 hours of sleep).
The player also loses blood when hit by physical attacks (chance of bleed, as well as amount of random bleed adjustable in SKSE Menu settings).
This blood loss does not stack, so if you are already bleeding and you get hit during this bleed, you won't get MORE bleed as from my testing this is super unfair.
Magic does not inflict bleed, and neither does NPCs with enchantments on weapons that have magic effects with a detrimental flag with health attributes. This is to prevent things like burning causing multiple stacks of bleed over time which makes zero sense (and also I have trouble getting the mod to consistently recognize the difference between physical attacks and enchantment damage). NPCs with non-health attribute magic effects on their enchantments are allowed to still cause bleed.
This blood system is completely separate from your other stats like health, stamina, ect. The purpose of this mod is a difficulty increasing mod that makes the player actually try to play well and not just spam healing/potions to get through every fight while face tanking damage. Since the blood does not regenerate naturally, the player can get to a point where they are low on blood and must play perfectly while trying to get to a bed or else even a skeever can kill you.
In real life people in combat actually fight trying to NOT take any damage, and the way people fight due to this is completely different than say a fencing tournament where people will just go ham without any care about their own well being. Similarly, in video games people don't care about getting hit but now you realllllly do not want to get hit. This then adds an extra pyschological layer to gameplay.
All settings including the Blood Widget can be adjusted in SKSE Menu settings.
