Fallout 4 DLC Consistency Patch — Cross‑Storefront DLC Alignment
Brings Fallout 4 DLC files into alignment across storefronts to fix crashes and texture inconsistencies by normalizing DLC masters and asset revisions.
- Upgrade Far Harbor assets to the newer revision to resolve crashes
- Normalize DLC master files across storefronts (Steam/Gamepass/GOG/Epic)
- Standardize texture archive sizes for Far Harbor, Nuka‑World, Contraptions and Vault‑Tec
- Maintain parity between storefront editions to prevent plugin/porting crashes
Requirements: Requires a pristine, untouched install of your purchased Fallout 4 storefront copy and ownership of the Season Pass/Anniversary Edition; the updated community downgrader (all three parts of the upgrading kit) is required for the upgrade process.
This patchset exists to make the four known Fallout 4 releases as consistent as possible where DLC content differs between storefronts. It targets mismatched DLC masters, asset revisions and texture archives introduced by the Anniversary Edition updates so owners across Steam, Gamepass, Epic and GOG see the same DLC foundations.
Patch status: Steam — Up (Beta); Gamepass — Not yet; Epic — Not yet; GOG — Not yet.
Prerequisites and installation notes: you must start from a pristine, untouched install of the storefront copy of Fallout 4 you purchased. If you do not own the Season Pass or Anniversary Edition, this package does not apply to your setup. If you plan to downgrade, perform downgrading only after installing the updated files and limit downgrades to the executable and supporting libraries; running full downgrader solutions after directly installing updated files will trigger hash errors. An updated community downgrader (XD3Patcher) powers the Simple Downgrader used with this kit; its source is available on GitHub and all three parts of the upgrading kit are required to complete the process. Additional usage instructions are provided with the package.
Key fixes: the Far Harbor assets are upgraded to the newer revision to resolve crashing issues and align editions; texture archives for Far Harbor, Nuka‑World, Contraptions and Vault‑Tec are normalized so storefronts using the Anniversary Edition downscale to 2K where appropriate, restoring consistency and VRAM behavior (use the HD texture pack if you prefer original 4K textures). Master file patches are derived from Steam for DLC01–02 and from Gamepass for DLC03–06 based on internal version dates, addressing the root cause of crashes seen in console ports or plugins ported from Steam.
