Better Crafting Categories — Organized Weapon & Armor Menus (The Witcher 3)
Groups related weapon and armor crafting entries with clear prefixes, separates runestones and glyphs, and hides junk for a cleaner, easier-to-navigate crafting menu.

Groups related weapon and armor crafting entries with clear prefixes, separates runestones and glyphs, and hides junk for a cleaner, easier-to-navigate crafting menu.
Requirements: Compatible with The Witcher 3 Next‑Gen (v4.00+); recommends installing via The Witcher 3 Mod Manager and using Script Merger to resolve conflicts (Vortex not tested); Old‑Gen v1.32/v1.31 not tested but likely to work.
The Witcher 3’s crafting menu sorts categories alphabetically, which scatters related weapon and armor types across the list. Better Crafting Categories tidies that view by adding a common prefix to related entries — 'ARMOR:' for the four armor categories and 'WEAPONS:' for the four weapon categories — so those items appear grouped together. Runestones and glyphs are split into their own distinct categories instead of sharing an Upgrade grouping, and the Junk category is hidden to remove pointless crafting entries. The mod only changes category labels in the crafting menu; item category names elsewhere in the UI remain unchanged. No translation files are required, so it works across languages out of the box, and it also fixes an issue where the number of craftable glyphs and runestones was displayed incorrectly. Compatible with the Next‑Gen update (v4.00+) and likely to work on older game builds, though those were not specifically tested. Initial release.
