Berry's Head - Jekyll

[b][size=4][u]Some ramblings because that's what I do…[/u][/size][/b]

After using my Hyacinth preset as my BT2 showcase model for the past 9 months, some personal reasons led me to retire it, which meant I needed a new face to carry my outfits and accessories going forward. That's the origin story for this preset.

This head was sculpted in Blender on top of the vanilla Half-Elf head C, using Japanese singer Hyde (Takarai Hideto) as a facial reference. As a long-time fan of his work, I found his features, striking yet with a soft, androgynous quality, to be the perfect foundation, especially since much of my outfit work leans feminine and benefits from a face that can carry that duality. However I've taken plenty of creative liberties and aesthetic tweaks along the way, so think of it as an interpretation rather than a replica.

About the name ‘Jekyll’...it’s a nod to the famous novella 'Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde', also the 2026 new album ‘Jekyll’ by Hyde, which felt fitting both as a reference and as a way to keep some creative distance from being read as a direct portrait. (But to be honest, I don’t think it’s even possible for me to reconstruct his face 100% anyway, not with these 3257 vertices at least😂)
