You're dying and your friends only ever call you when they want something, or repeat the same frigid lines when you show up? After all you've been through together?? That's even more depressing than my real-life friends! :'(
Now your friends will call you (often when you're in the middle of something), and ask you to hang out! They'll follow you around, help you complete gigs, and react to what you're doing. They'll also become best friends or drift away depending on your actions. Not everyone likes a shootout with the cops, not everyone likes to go drinking in corpo plaza.

[color=#00ff00]NOTE:[/color] This is the spiritual core of the mod, but a LOT of functionality and the real heart of the mod is still unfinished.
I ran into a hard wall (planned much earlier in my mod development) that means I need to (finally) tag and develop points across NightCity to tag what sort of scenes and interactions can occur at each of these points. This will allow me in the future to have specific kinds of things you do with your friends in specific locations (e.g. go racing with Panam in the badlands, go diving with Judy, go drinking with Jackie).
So... many features are on pause until I complete that refactor for ALL my mods.
But I thought this was too important a feature to wait until that was done, so here's the Pre-ALPHA version 0.1.0! Let me know your thoughts or bugs :)
