SlideThrough is an SKSE C++ plugin for Skyrim Special Edition (including AE) that keeps your movement flowing when the engine would normally snag on rocks, ledges, or narrow gaps. The plugin was coded and implemented entirely by AI. SlideThrough detects when the player’s actual speed falls short of expected movement and, when appropriate, either steps the character up over low obstacles or nudges them through tight squeezes. Low obstacle filtering ignores small items below roughly knee height (~25 units) so routine walking isn’t disturbed. The slope guide reads surface angle and helps traverse steep terrain without unnecessary jumps, distinguishing sheer rock faces from gentle ground. NPC squeeze-through is supported in some situations but is dependent on local geometry and positioning. The system is designed to avoid false triggers during open ground, gentle slopes, or brief combat pauses. Install via Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex, or place SlideThrough.dll in Data\SKSE\Plugins\SlideThrough.dll for manual installs; uninstall by deleting the DLL with no save file impact. The plugin has been tested alongside movement overhauls such as TUDM, TK Dodge, and CGO; it has no .esp, no MCM, and no INI to manage. Known limitations include imperfect handling when approaching walls or slopes perfectly head-on and occasional odd behavior in extremely complex terrain geometries.
