Witcher Expedition 33 — Character Replacement Pack for The Witcher 3
Swap four key characters with faces from the Clair Obscur Expedition 33 roster; choose an all-in-one install or pick individual characters, with two Geralt texture options included.
- Four character face replacements (Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, Vesemir)
- All-in-one package or standalone character installs
- Two Verso Geralt texture variants (scarred and scarless)
- Built with existing character-replacement technology and optimized for compatible hairstyle mods
Requirements: No special dependencies; place the chosen files into your mod folder to install.
This mod replaces four Witcher 3 characters with faces drawn from the Clair Obscur Expedition 33 project, using the same replacement technology as earlier character mods. You can install the all-in-one package or download individual character modules to mix and match. For best results with hair, pair it with a compatible hairstyle mod so characters retain their intended cuts.
Verso Geralt ships with two texture variants: a scarred main-storyline look and an older, scarless version inspired by the Maelle ending. Current incompatibilities include Modular Eyes and certain beard meshes from hairstyle packs; if those are present, Verso’s 3D eyebrows and eye model may revert to vanilla shapes and appear incorrect. The author is unable to resolve those conflicts and will not address compatibility bug reports.
Included characters are: Geralt Descendre (Geralt with Verso face), Lune of Vengerberg (Yennefer with Lune face), Maelle of Cintra (Ciri with Maelle face) and Vesemir Descendre (Vesemir with Renoir face). The all-in-one file is named modclaireobscurethewildhunt; standalone files use the modW33-standalone prefix followed by character initials (for example modW33-standaloneVR for Vesemir Renoir).
Some planned replacements were omitted: a Triss-based mesh failed due to armature/weight issues, one model was unavailable behind a paywall, and others could not be located. A contributor provided the Verso 3D model that enabled completion of this pack. Texture work has focused on Geralt so far, with planned software upgrades to improve female textures in future updates.
