White House posts Destiny 2–style Trump meme as Bungie announces layoffs
The official White House X account shared an AI-generated Destiny 2 character sheet showing a hyper-muscular Donald Trump with a 4,700 power level and a B2 bomber companion. The post arrived the same day Bungie announced sweeping layoffs.
The official White House X account posted an AI-generated, Destiny 2–style character sheet depicting a ripped Donald Trump wielding a Gjallarhorn and the U.S. flag, captioned “Eyes up, Guardians.” The image shows fighter jets and a Rolls Royce; Trump’s in-game power level is listed at 4,700 (the actual Destiny 2 max is 550) and his companion is a B2 Bomber, noted as costing “over $2 billion” per unit and most recently deployed in America’s attack on Iran.
The White House and federal departments have been publishing videogame-themed AI images for years. Recent examples include Homeland Security riffing on The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker to promote the Coast Guard, Secretary Brooke Rollins referencing GTA 6, and similar posts from the Department of Labor and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Andy Chalk reported in March that the White House used such imagery to promote its attack on Iran. The latest post coincided with news that Bungie announced sweeping layoffs.
