Steam Machine reservation emails go out, making Valve’s 2026 launch feel real
Did you get one?
Valve has begun emailing people who signed up for the Steam Machine reservation queue, notifying both those chosen for the first wave and those who missed out. I didn’t order one myself—mostly because, frankly, Yowzah—but learned about the sendout from Game Awards host Geoff Keighley, who says he secured a 512GB model. Deals poster Wario64 noted an added perk: buyers will receive at least 105 Steam Summer Sale 2026 trading cards. PC Gamer’s Jacob Ridley explains Valve used a randomized lottery rather than first-come, first-served: winners are picked from the pool and then have three days to complete their purchase once their unit is available, or their reservation is canceled and the next person in line gets the chance.
