Dodo Duckie lets you flip between 2D and 3D with a propeller hat
A stylish propeller hat lets you switch between 2D and 3D to solve puzzles and rescue kidnapped chickens from greedy aliens.
I’ve played plenty of platformers, though after Hollow Knight: Silksong I’d been wary of trying another challenging one. What eased me back in was ducks in hats. Dodo Duckie stars Dodo, a duck trying to rescue his kidnapped chicken friends from greedy aliens, and the core twist is multi-dimensional traversal: you can flip between 2D and 3D at will using a magical propeller hat courtesy of Capie the capybara. 2D lets you cover long distances and make precise jumps; 3D reveals hidden secrets and helps you line up moves. Many puzzles require toggling between perspectives—for example, you might only be able to pick up a stone cube in 3D but only jump with it in 2D—so you juggle dimensions to progress. It sounds complex, but in the short demo swapping felt natural and intuitive.
