Object Impermanence is a puzzle game where things only exist when you look
Drawing on the childhood game of peekaboo, Object Impermanence turns the psychological idea of object permanence into gameplay. In this puzzle game, objects cease to exist the moment you look away from them.
Object permanence is the awareness that things continue to exist even when you can't see them — a concept babies often lack, which makes peekaboo so effective. Object Impermanence turns that idea into a puzzle game: it literally makes objects vanish whenever you stop looking at them. The game puts perception at the center of its puzzles, forcing you to solve challenges while managing what remains in the world only as long as it is observed.
