Study finds one ChatGPT user churned out thousands of Doki Doki Literature Club pregnancy fics
A Purdue-led analysis of 500,000 anonymous WildChat conversations found more than a third included fiction prompts, and identified a single prolific user who generated thousands of Doki Doki Literature Club pregnancy variants.
A paper presented at Purdue University's MFS Cultural AI Conference, titled AI Fiction in the Wild, analyzed roughly half a million anonymous English-language ChatGPT conversations from WildChat and found some striking patterns. "More than a third of the conversations contained some form of fiction generation," the researchers wrote, covering original stories, scripts, roleplay, worldbuilding, fanfiction, and erotica. They identified two prompter types: "story cyclers," who iterate on a story then move on, and "infinite story demanders," who request near-identical stories repeatedly. The most prolific infinite demander produced thousands of variations over several months in which a girl from the visual novel Doki Doki Literature Club—usually Natsuki—gave birth, typically to a daughter named Sakura.
