After more than 300 hours with Task Bar Hero—clearing all four difficulty modes and micromanaging heroes to level 101—here’s a concise tier list and team advice for the current meta. I bought both DLC classes, but my top picks (Ranger and Priest) are free.

Notes on team building
- Ranger is the strongest class right now and should be your priority.
- Priest is extremely versatile, able to fill tank or healer roles.
- You can slot Hunter in place of Ranger if you have lucky gear, but it’s not ideal.
- Sorcerer makes a great third hero for double-DPS teams thanks to solid AoE.
- If you want a traditional tank, invest in Slayer (the $5 cost mentioned is worth it) rather than Knight.
- Avoid investing resources in Knight—he’s outclassed on harder difficulties and a liability in Torment.
