Review: SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X Wireless Gen 2
A helpful refinement.
I loved the original Arctis Nova 7X Wireless, so I was eager to test the Gen 2 over the last couple of weeks. The changes are modest: improved battery life and added support for SteelSeries’ Arctis companion app, while fit, finish and the internal drivers appear unchanged. That could read as lazy, but I prefer to call it refinement—there was nothing that needed fixing. The Gen 2 retains the excellent, balanced sound of its predecessor, with a bit more low-end grunt than typical headphones. That makes it great for rock artists like Marillion and Rush and adds impact to explosions and gunfire in Counter-Strike 2, keeping the headset’s strong all-round performance intact.
