When Final Fantasy VII Remake’s second part was revealed as Rebirth, fans immediately began guessing what the third instalment would be called. Many suggested Reunion, despite that name having already been used for Crisis Core. The title for part three was finally revealed this month as Revelation during Summer Geoff Fest. The announcement appears to have come as a surprise even to many working on the threequel, and Naoki Hamaguchi has addressed why the subtitle Revelation was chosen despite the game’s central theme being described as “Resolve.”
