EA renews Ultima trademark as creator eyes copyright return next year

Long-running series often lose momentum, but earlier this week EA, which has long owned the rights to Ultima, appeared to file a couple of new trademarks for the name. After those filings, series creator Richard "Lord British" Garriott appears to be preparing to reclaim the franchise's copyright next year.
