D&D to get a full vampire class in Vampire: The Masquerade tie‑in
Ghostfire Gaming and White Wolf are releasing Bound by Blood, a D&D 5E supplement that adds a vampire class with blood points, disciplines, an inner beast, and a Dark Ages adventure.
Vampire: The Masquerade has long been the go-to if you want to play a full vampire tabletop RPG, but it usually requires a whole table of creatures of the night. D&D players who wanted more than the dhampir options in Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft (2021) may soon have another choice. Bound by Blood, a supplement from Ghostfire Gaming in cooperation with White Wolf, introduces a vampire class for D&D 5th Edition featuring blood points, bloodline powers called disciplines, and an inner beast mechanic. It also includes an adventure set in Vampire’s “Dark Ages” timeline, set in medieval Europe. White Wolf stressed that Bound by Blood isn’t the main project they plan to announce at Gen Con: "We're very excited about sharing the love for Vampires with even more people," White Wolf said, "but want to clarify something since we've seen some wires getting crossed: Bound by Blood is not the primary project we're announcing at Gen Con. They're two different projects." The release marks another step forward for Vampire: The Masquerade-related projects.
